We got to host a #tryazon party this weekend! We tried out a new game and are happy to say that we loved it!
The game is Santorini by Roxley Games, Second Edition.This game is very well thought out. The 3D pieces are impressive and well-built, and it takes a surprising amount of strategy to win. We liked that it’s versatile enough to be played with different group sizes — we played it in 3 teams of 2 players.
It feels like tic-tac-toe meets chess in 3D. Just when you think you can win on your next turn, another player caps the tower and you have to figure out a new strategy.
The God cards add another dimension and even more fun game play– it’s nice that there are suggested combinations too.
We also received Santorini: Riddle of the Sphinx. This is an expansion to the original game and allows for more twists, powers, and strategies. Great artwork and very high-quality pieces. Tons to explore with this expansion. I think we could play it for years to come and not get bored.
